Bellefonte bar cited for liquor violation

Omar Bar & Restaurant, 121 W. Bishop St., Bellefonte, is charged with a liquor law violation after allegedly serving alcohol to a “visibly intoxicated patron,” according to the state police Bureau of liquor Control Enforcement.

Police said the violation, which was reported Friday, happened Jan. 6,.

An administrative law judge can impose fines from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. The judge also can suspend or revoke the establishment's license or mandate training.
