SPRING MILLS — Bellefonte took control with its best offensive quarter of the season and knocked off Mifflinburg 44-37 in the consolation game of the Penns Valley Christmas Tournament.
The Lady Red Raiders outscored Mifflinburg 20-10 in the second quarter to take 30-19 halftime lead. Cassandra Book scored seven of her team-high 10 points in the period.
Torie Sealy, the teams only senior, had six points as Belleonte (3-19) closed out its season.
The last 8 or 10 games of the season, we played a little better, Bellefonte coach Roger Herto said. The played hard and it was good to see them finish the season with a win.
