MOON — Bellefonte finished fourth in a tight Bronze Division race as Lady Red Raiders closed out their season in the state meet.
Waynesboro won the division with 129.126 points. Bedford Everett (128.108), St. Marys (128.023) and Bellefonte (127.783).
It was a very close race for second place, Bellefonte coach Susan Besch said. We had our highest team score for season. It was a great way to end.
In individual competition, Grace Young had the Lady Raiders highest finish with a fourth in the vault in the silver division. Her 8.933 score was a career-high. Corryn Deibler (8.383) had a career-high and was 33rd in the event.
Olivia Williams placed seventh in the balance beam (8.433) and 14th in the uneven bars (7.983). Williams (32.533) was 19th in the all-around and Young (32.233) was 32nd.
Cortney Fredericks (8.317) placed 10th in the uneven bars in the tougher Gold Division. Fredericks also had Top 20 finishes in the all-around (18th, 33.117) and balance beam (8.233).
