Brisbin man arrested after allegedly trying to ram car

From CDT staff reportsFebruary 19, 2013

A Brisbin man was arrested Sunday after he tried to force another car off the road in an incident that spanned two counties, according to police reports.

State police in Philipsburg said Richard Allen Litzinger, 50, was driving a Ford Mustang and attempted to ram a Jeep Grand Cherokee with two female occupants off the road. The victims were not identified. The incident was the result of a domestic dispute, according to police.

Police said Litzinger was passing the Jeep on the left and right side and finally forced it to stop in the middle of the road on the 500 block of Centre Street in Philipsburg. Litzinger got out of his car, struck the hood of the Jeep with his fist and tried to open the door. The women were able to drive off with Litzinger chasing them, police said. The women drove to the state police station in Philipsburg to report the crime.

Litzinger was arraigned at the Centre County Central Booking Center by Judge Thomas Jordan. He faces charges of stalking, simple assault and recklessly endangering.
