UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State will host a conference in April with a focus on women in the business world.

The conference, “Powerful Women Paving the Way,” is April 18 and 19 at The Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel, and registration is open. It is hosted by the university’s Smeal College of Business Women in Business organization and is geared toward professionals and students.

Lady Lions basketball coach Coquese Washington will give the keynote address April 18 during a dinner at the Nittany Lion Inn.

Organizers said the conference will provide opportunities for professional development and networking. Attendees will hear from speakers in the business community and can go to breakout sessions about important issues to women in the corporate world.
