LYNCHBURG, Va. — A three-run seventh inning helped Liberty drop Penn State 4-1 Saturday to open a three-game weekend series.
Steve Snyder was 3-for-5 and Taylor Skerpon had a pair of hits to pace the Nittany Lions (1-3), while J.J. White knocked home the lone run in the first inning.
David Walking, Cody Lewis and Jack Anderson combined for six strikeouts and held Liberty to six hits. The Flames took advantage of a two-run double from Trey Wimmer and a run-scoring ground out to lock up the win.
