HOUSTON — Penn State lost to Michigan State 2.5-1 on Saturday on the Jackrabbit Course at the Champions Golf Club.
JD Dornes earned a half point for the lone win in singles, while the pair of Xander McDonald-Smith and Geoff Vartelas split a four-ball match against the Spartans’ Dave Ellis and Gareth Blease for the other half point.
Jens Talbert and Anthony DeGol lost their four-ball match, as did Jay woodward and Chris Houston.
Penn State is back on the course March 6-7 in Bluffton, S.C.
