— Penn State players wrapped up their weekends at the NFL Scouting Combine and will now wait until Penn State’s pro day to further polish their resumes for NFL suitors.

While linebacker Michael Mauti’s left knee may still be on the mend after he tore the Anterior Cruciate Ligament against Indiana last season, his upper body is in fine form. Mauti, in his only event of the week, put up 28 repetitions of 225 pounds in the bench press to finish with the third-best total for linebackers.

Center Matt Stankiewitch was the busiest Nittany Lion, participating in six events. Stankiewitch turned in 27 repetitions on the bench press, ran a 5.43-second 40-yard dash, completed the three-cone drill in 7.9 seconds and posted a 4.96-second 20-yard shuttle run. Stankiewitch also notched a 24-inch vertical jump and a 92-inch broad jump.

Defensive tackle Jordan Hill posted 28 reps on the bench press, a 22.5-inch vertical and 103-inch broad jump. Hill ran a 5.23-second 40-yard dash.

Linebacker Gerald Hodges managed 22 reps on the bench press and a 119-inch broad jump. His broad jump distance was sixth-best among linebackers. Hodges turned in a 4.78-second 40-yard dash.

Penn State’s pro day is set for March 11 on campus, where the foursome from Indy is expected to be joined by other former Nittany Lions.
