UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn State captured both EIVA weekly awards Monday, with Aaron Russell grabbing Offensive Player of the Week and Matt Seifert taking Defensive Player of the Week.
The Nittany Lions beat George Mason and Princeton last weekend.
Russell totaled 35 kills while hitting .329 with three aces, nine digs and eight blocks. Seifert totaled 13 blocks, averaging 1.86 per set, to go with 12 kills and .350 hitting. He also had two digs and an ace.
The No. 9 Nittany Lions (12-3, 6-1 EIVA) travel to Rutgers-Newark on Friday.
