The Bob Perks Fund brought back the ’80s in a night of live music, performed by local bands. The evening began with a VIP reception held at The State Theatre, followed by music from area bands, including: JR Mangan Band, Long Afternoon, Mr. Hand, Tongue in Groove, Screwdriver Sally, Velveeta, My Hero Zero, The Insomniacs, Scott Mangene, Spider Kelly, Cone of Silence and The Feats of Strength. Money raised was used to benefit the organization’s mission of financially funding the local cancer community and the event was sponsored by Café 210 West.
Kelly Sullivan and Chrissy Castles were at the Rock the ’80s For the Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund benefit at the State Theatre on Saturday, Feb. 2. Area bands donated their time and the State Theatre offered the venue at no profit to assist the fund, which is for families with a loved one going through a bout with cancer by assisting with bills, rent, utility costs and gas costs.
