Penn State volleyball: Nittany Lions sweep NJIT

Nick Goodell and Aaron Russell paced the offense as Penn State swept past NJIT 25-22, 25-17, 25-13 on Saturday night.

Goodell pounded down 12 kills on .435 hitting while Russell had 11 kills on a .444 night. Peter Russell added eight kills and eight digs, Matt Seifert registered eight kills while hitting .750 and Nick Turko also had eight kills to go with three blocks. Connor Curry picked up 10 digs and Taylor Hammond gave out 41 assists.

Penn State hit .487 as a team with a 48-29 edge in kills, a 29-16 advantage in digs, a 4-1 ace margin and a 6-4 blocking advantage.

The Nittany Lions visit IPFW on Saturday.
