Penn State tennis: Nittany Lions suffer first loss

Penn State suffered its first loss of the season, dropping a 5-2 contest to Ohio State on Sunday to open Big Ten play.

Petra Januskova defeated Kelsey Dieters 6-1, 6-7, 6-2, and Carmen Sandor dropped Grainne O’Neill 7-5, 6-0 for the lone Penn State points. Januskova and Chelsea Utting won in doubles, but the Nittany Lions (9-1, 0-1) dropped the other two matches to lose the doubles point.

Penn State will visit College of Charleston on Saturday.
