High school hockey: Horgas, State College dominate Mount Lebanon

— Stefan Horgas pushed his PIHL Class AAA-leading goal total to 54 and helped push State College past Mount Lebanon 6-1 in opening round action of the Penguins Cup Playoffs at Greenberg Ice Pavilion on Monday.

Horgas and teammate Josef Horgos scored nearly one minute apart early in the opening period to give State College a 2-0 lead the Little Lions would never relinquish.

Ronald Litman cut the differential to one for Mount Lebanon but it was all for naught.

Robbie Waite and Dalton Bown added second-period goals while Bown and Horgas struck again in the third for the Little Lions who will meet No. 4 Seneca Valley at Warrendale on Thursday.

Brendan Horgas, Adam Warfield, Andrew Moscone and Luc Michael added assists for State College. Stefan Horgas added two assists to cap a four-point night.
