After helping Penn State to victories against Duquesne and then-No. 6 Virginia, sophomore midfielder Kelly Lechner has been named the WomensLax.com Player of the Week, the outlet announced Monday.

Lechner recorded five goals and three helpers as the Nittany Lions (3-1) beat the Dukes, 16-9 on Feb. 27 before securing a 15-14 upset victory against the sixth-ranked Cavaliers March 3 in which the sophomore matched her career high with three goals and an assist.
