Penn State lacrosse: TJ Sanders earns honor

For the third time this season, Penn State’s TJ Sanders was named Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week.

Sanders notched a six points, a league-best among freshmen, in a 12-10 loss to Lehigh on Saturday. The freshman scored five goals and assisted on another in the loss. He has 10 goals in his last two games, and 18 goals to lead the No. 18 Nittany Lions (2-3) this season. He is tied for second in the nation at 3.6 goals per game, and is tops among freshmen.

Penn State visits No. 19 Massachusetts on Saturday.
