4 charged in Centre County drug sweep waive preliminary hearings

From CDT staff reportsMarch 14, 2013

Four people charged in connection with a half-million-dollar heroin and cocaine ring operating in Centre County now face possible trial on felony drug counts.

Robert Albro Jr., Colleen Berrigan, Nicholas Girton and Amanda Horner waived their rights to preliminary hearings Wednesday in Centre County Court.

Agents with the state Attorney General’s Office said the ring, based in the State College area, brought drugs into Centre, Clinton and Lycoming counties from New York and the Harrisburg area.

During the investigation, police seized 13 illegally owned guns from the home of Elijah “Max” Moorer, whom authorities described as “the main target.”

Moorer and Kendra Spring, both of Pleasant Gap, and State College residents Timothy Wilson and Valerie Albro have had preliminary hearings continued. Tiffany Malloy, of New York City, has been charged in the case, but is not yet in custody.
