UNIVERSITY PARK Penn State’s Trevor Howard was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the seventh time this season.

The run of honors is the most for any individual male gymnast in conference history.

Howard posted a career-high 15.400 to win the vault among his scores last Saturday night at Rec Hall in the No. 1 Nittany Lions’ victory over No. 2 Michigan.

Penn State visits Minnesota on Saturday.
