Penn State baseball: Home opener canceled

Published: March 20, 2013

Penn State’s home opener against Akron was canceled due to chilly weather conditions. The game had been scheduled for a 6 p.m. start Wednesday.

Also, Tuesday’s contest at Pittsburgh also was wiped off the slate and will not be made up.

The Nittany Lions return to the field this weekend to begin Big Ten play, opening a three-game series at Indiana on Friday. The home opener will be March 27 against Pitt.
