Sen. Harry Reid has said he can’t get enough votes to pass an assault-weapons ban despite the fact that the majority of people in the U.S. support such a ban and other limits on weapons of mass destruction.

Imagine each child and teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary School riddled with at least 11 bullets. What if one of those innocents had been yours?

There is absolutely no excuse for this timid shirking of duty. None.

The NRA doesn’t run this country; Wall Street doesn’t run this country; the banks don’t run this country; gun makers don’t run this country.

We do. Oh, no! What am I thinking? I guess we don’t.

Reid should twist every arm in the place and not rest until this is accomplished! The children of Sandy Hook deserve better.
