Paterno family to speak at child abuse prevention event

April 3, 2013

The Paterno family will be guest speakers at the PA Family Support Alliance’s third-annual breakfast in Harrisburg, according to an alliance news release Tuesday.

The Paternos will be joined April 10 by legislators, child advocates, policy makers and family support and child welfare workers as April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. The breakfast is designed to raise awareness for child abuse prevention in Pennsylvania.

The event will be held at the Hilton Harrisburg from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

PFSA provides training on recognizing and reporting suspected child abuse and neglect to schools, early childhood education centers, law enforcement agencies, religious institutions, and social service agencies.
