UNIVERSITY PARK — Penn States losing skid reached 13 games with a 6-2 loss against Wright State on Saturday at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
The Raiders(12-15) scored twice in the first inning off of Nittany Lions starter Steven Hill (1-5), who allowed 10 hits and four earned runs, while striking out four in eight innings.
Wright State starter Joey Hoetzel limited Penn State (5-21) to four hits and a run over seven innings even though he walked seven batters.
Michael Tim had three hits and drove in two for the Raiders. Garrett Gray also had three hits. Luis Montesinos had two of Penn States six hits. James Coates and Alex Farkes each had an RBI.
The series concludes today with a game at noon.
