High school baseball: Philipsburg-Osceola offense struggles in loss

— Philipsburg-Osceola failed to mount much offense and dropped an 8-0 decision to Huntingdon on Monday.

Mountie hitters managed to combine for just three hits on an afternoon in which P-O (0-3) stranded four runners on base. Meanwhile, the Bearcats (2-2) clawed their way to 10 hits and scored runs in the first, third, fourth and fifth innings to pull away.

Caleb Pepperday (0-2) took the loss for P-O while Hunter Price picked up with win for Huntingdon. Price went 5 1/3 innings, gave up just two hits and struck out six to earn the win.
