High school baseball: Big inning dooms Bellefonte

— Central used one big inning to knock off Bellefonte 5-2 Monday.

The Scarlet Dragons had five of their 10 hits in the fourth inning, highlighted by back-to-back doubles for Jay Stern and Mike Mock, a two-run double for Zach Croft and a two-run homer for Nick Hoenstein off losing pitcher Taylor Smith.

Ethan White singled and scored on a Ryan McCloskey single, and Seth Weaver doubled and scored on a Taylor Butts single to account for the Red Raider runs off Mock, who struck out seven in the complete-game win.
