High school softball: State College rallies for win

— State College rallied from a two-run deficit with a six-run sixth inning on Wednesday afternoon to defeat Central Dauphin East 10-6 in Mid-Penn girls’ softball action.

Jess Henderson led the Lady Little Lions’ offense with a 4-for-5 day and three RBIs, including a two-run single in the sixth.

Lexi Mattivi also powered State College (4-2) with a two-run single in the sixth, as Cory Marfitt and Allison Baney added base hits in the rally.

Henderson improved to 4-0 in the circle on the season.
