High school boys’ tennis: State College swats Chambersburg

— State College rolled through Chambersburg 4-1 led in singles action by Cooper Josephs who didn’t relinquish a single game (6-0, 6-0) on Thursday.

The teams of Luke Plowden/Sebastian Forest (6-0, 6-1) and Shreyas Radhakrishna/Dan Shull (6-1, 6-0) dominated in doubles play.

Josephs’ opponent was an exchange student from Germany who was previously unbeaten (10-0).

“Cooper played an excellent match at No. 1 today,” said head coach Jane Borden. “He really took control of the match early and never let up.”

Pedro Sanchez also won his match (7-5, 0-6, 10-4).

The Little Lions (9-2) head to Central Dauphin East on Friday for a 3:30 p.m. match.
