High school baseball: Bald Eagle Area keeps rolling

— After falling behind early, Bald Eagle Area rallied late for a 7-3 victory Thursday at Tyrone.

BEA (5-1) trailed 2-1 after one inning, but squared things in the third. Each team tallied once in the fifth to knot the game at three.

BEA then scored the go-ahead run in the sixth and added three more in the seventh when Ryan Dyke (2 for 4) doubled in a run and Tyler Schall knocked in a pair with a single.

Dylan Womer (3-0) went the distance for BEA after giving up two in the first. Womer also went 2 for 2 and had two RBIs. Gage Gardner and Logan Reese each went 2 for 3 for BEA who hosts Bellefonte on Tuesday.

“Dylan pitched a real solid game for us again,” said BEA coach Jim Gardner. “After the first he settled down and worked out of some jams late.”
