UNIVERSITY PARK — Petra Januskova and Chelsea Utting accounted for all of Penn State’s wins as the Nittany Lions fell 5-2 against No. 16 Northwestern on Saturday.
Januskova and Utting won 8-5 at No. 1 doubles, but the Wildcats (12-8 overall, 6-2 Big Ten) took the other two matches to take the doubles point. Januskova won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 singles and Utting triumphed 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2, but Penn State (13-4, 3-5) dropped the last four singles matches.
Penn State plays host to Illinois on Sunday.
