High School boys’ lacrosse: State College doubles up McDevitt

From CDT staff reportsApril 17, 2013

— After starting slowly, State College pulled away from Bishop McDevitt 14-7 behind four goals from Gavin Rallis.

“We just haven’t been getting off to quick starts,” said head coach Jeff King. “They were really taking away our right hands so we had to play more left-handed.”

The Little Lions (5-1) adjusted well, turning a 5-3 lead at halftime into a 14-7 victory. In all, nine Little Lions tallied goals.

Ryan Goeke, Nick Chambers, Sam Schwab and Kobie Gibson each scored two goals for State College who travels to Northern York on Thursday.
