One injured after vehicle collides with CATA bus

One person was injured when a car struck a CATA bus Wednesday afternoon in State College.

State College police said the driver of a car failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of University Drive and Hastings Road. The vehicle crashed into a CATA bus that was turning onto University Drive.

The driver of the car suffered minor injuries, but was not transported for medical treatment, police said. No one on the bus was injured. Police had previously said approximately 27 people were on the bus.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The bus will receive an inspection as a precaution, police said.
