From CDT staff reportsApril 19, 2013

— Women’s basketball coach Coquese Washington will be joining the 2013 Penn State Coaches Caravan on May 1 during stops in Baltimore and Washington.

Headlining the tour, which will make 12 stops around the state and region from April 30 to May 9, is Nittany Lion football coach Bill O’Brien.

Washington guided the Lady Lions to a 26-6 record this past season, winning the Big Ten regular-season title for a second straight year and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Joining Washington and O’Brien at the May 1 events will be men’s basketball head coach Patrick Chambers and wrestling coach Cael Sanderson. At each Coaches Caravan stop, Penn State alumni and fans will have the opportunity to hear from and ask questions of O’Brien and the other coaches on hand.

Registration for the events has already begun at www.alumni.psu.edu/coachescaravan and www.GoPSUsports.com. The April 30 event in Reading and the May 7 stop in Williamsport are already sold out. Advance registration is required for all Coaches Caravan events.
