High school softball: Lady Little Lions fall in extras

— A triple by Mifflin County’s Taylor Boyer in the top of the ninth inning knocked in three runs to lock up a 6-2 win over State College on Thursday.

Shelby Lyter pitched all nine innings in the loss. She gave up six hits, walked four and struck out 11.

Alexa Mattivi went 3-for-5 with a double for the Lady Little Lions (4-4) and batted in both runs while Megan Robert belted a double.

The Lady Little Lions will host Cumberland Valley on Friday.
