From CDT staff reportsApril 21, 2013

A 27-year-old Moshannon man was killed after his motorcycle collided with a car Sunday on North Eagle Valley Road/state Route 150 in Boggs Township.

Police said Travis Tumbleson was operating a Harley-Davidson 1000 heading south on Route 150 at about 3:45 p.m. when David Rockey, of Bellefonte, attempted to make a left turn from the Interstate 80 off-ramp.

The front of Tumbleson’s motorcycle struck the front driver’s side wheel of Rockey’s Ford Escape XLT. Tumbleson flew into the Escape’s windshield and flew about 12 feet over the vehicle before landing on his back on the road.

He was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead by Assistant Coroner Judy Pleskonko.

Neither David Rockey, 76, nor his passenger, Agnes Rockey, 74, was injured. Both were taken to the hospital for observation.
