High school softball: Philipsburg-Osceola Lady Mounties suffer first loss

— Central Mountain turned two Philipsburg-Osceola errors into four unearned runs has the Lady Wildcats topped the previously unbeaten Lady Mounties 7-6 on Monday.

Trailing 6-3, Central Mountain scored four times in the fifth and rode the arm of reliver Emily Strouse to the win. Strouse allowed two hits, walked three and struck out two in three shutout innings of relief.

Mackenzie Burge had two hits to pace P-O (6-1). Kate Burge and Abby Showers each had two RBIs. Chelsea Henry (1-1) suffered the loss.

Whitney Peters had two hits and drove in two, while Kayla Glossner smacked two doubles and scored three times for the Lady Wildcats.
