Boys’ tennis: State College triumphs over Lower Dauphin

— State College rolled to a 4-1 triumph against Lower Dauphin on Monday.

Cooper Josephs lost just one game and Edward Badding dropped just three in straight-set singles wins.The teams of Luke Plowden-Enrique Del Castillo and Shreyas Radhakrishna-Dan Shull each lost only four games in easy doubles wins.

Also Monday, Josephs landed the top seed for the District 6 Class AAA singles championship, which begins Friday at the Leopold Center in Altoona.

Josephs has a first-round bye and will face the winner between Hollidaysburg’s John Johnson and Central Mountain’s Tom Rodabaugh in the quarterfinals.

Del Castillo also earned a first-round bye and will face third-seeded Chad Allender of Altoona in the quarterfinals.
