From CDT staff reportsApril 25, 2013

A Blanchard man faces possible trial on charges he threatened his stepson with a gun during a dispute at a home in Centre County.

Joseph E. Laubscher Jr., 41, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday on charges including terroristic threats, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, all misdemeanors.

Police alleged Laubscher’s stepson was staying in the home and woke to his mother and Laubscher having an argument. An altercation ensued between the two men, ending when Laubscher allegedly pulled a gun and pointed it at the other man.

Laubscher was released from Centre County Correctional Facility on $25,000 unsecured bail.
