High school volleyball: State College falls in four

From CDT staff reportsMay 1, 2013

— Central Dauphin handed State College a Mid-Penn Conference loss on Tuesday.

The Rams prevailed 25-20, 23-25, 25-18, 27-25, as the Little Lions (6-5) got 15 kills and two aces from Deniz Demirci, 13 kills from Eric Deshong, 39 assists and 3.5 blocks for Andrew Groves and 29 digs for Noah Hanahan.

“They were pretty physical,” Little Lions coach Kim-Li Kimel said. “This is a team we should compete with and beat, but we also had 48 unforced errors. That’s unreasonable to think we can win with that.”
