High school baseball: Raquet dominant in State College win

From CDT staff reportsMay 2, 2013

— Nick Raquet was unhittable. Almost.

The State College junior threw a one-hitter and foiled the Central Dauphin East lineup in a 6-0 complete game win on Wednesday. Raquet pushed his record as a starter this season to 3-2 for the Little Lions (11-4).

“He settled in and he was bascially dominating,” State College coach Bill Tussey said. “The defense played well too, we played errorless ball behind him.”

State College’s offense didn’t jump on the Panthers until the game’s latter innings. The Little Lions plated five runs in the sixth to cap their offensive output. Nick Smith and Ken Craig finished with two RBIs apiece while Ryan Karstetter added an RBI for the Little Lions.
