High school baseball: Philipsburg-Osceola tops Huntingdon

— Caleb Pepperday was solid on the mound and Taylor Golemboski came up big at the plate in Philipsburg-Osceola’s 5-1 win over Huntingdon.

Pepperday, a junior, went the distance and allowed just one run on six hits, five walks and nine strikeouts.

Golemboski, a senior, went 2-for-3 and knocked in two runs.

The win improves the Mounties to 3-11 on the season. Tanner Lamb went 1-for-3, scored a run and knocked in two for the Mounties who travel to Central on Tuesday.
