HUNTINGDON — Bellefonte snapped a 4-4 tie with three runs in the top of the sixth and held on for a 7-6 victory over Huntingdon on Friday.
Erica DeVinney and Sarah Menna had RBI singles and Carly Chambers had a sacrifice fly in the sixth for the Lady Red Raiders, who played their fourth road game in five days.
The single capped a huge day for Menna, who smacked a two-run single in the first inning and an RBI single in the third.
Stevi Confer (7-4) went 5 1/3 innings to earn the victory. Rachel Bernier pitched the final 1 2/3 to pick up the save.
“It was hard fought win in terms that a lot energy expended traveling around this week,” Bellefonte coach Gregg Kohlhepp said. “It was a gut check.”
