High school baseball: Penns Valley strands 11 runners in loss

— Penns Valley got runners on base, the Rams just couldn’t push them across home plate in a 4-2 loss to West Branch on Monday.

Penns Valley (8-8) outhit West Branch (6-9) but stranded 11 baserunners to West Branch’s three.

Wyatt Sharp took the loss for the Rams after pitching four innings, giving up seven hits, three walks and four runs with a strikeout. Sharp and Adam DeGarmo chipped in the Rams lone RBIs in the game.

Taylor Collison hit a double for the Rams.
