Girls’ lacrosse: State College pushes win streak to 11

— Behind five goals from Carrie Mahon and three each from Sam Washell and Katie Mahon, State College rolled to its 11th straight win with an 18-8 victory over Central Dauphin on Tuesday.

Anna Stevenson added two goals and two assists, Caitlin McGlaughlin had a goal and three assists, Darien Miller scored twice and assisted once, and Caroline Friberg and Annie Hughes each scored a goal. Washell and Carrie Mahon also had one assist apiece.

Kristen Sonsteby and Katie Ziegler each made five saves in the win as the Lady Little Lions (15-1) outshot the Rams 34-18.

Carson Masters’ three goals led Central Dauphin.

State College, which finished second to undefeated Cumberland Valley in the Mid-Penn Conference standings, closes the regular season at Bellefonte on Monday.
