Several injuries reported in four-vehicle crash

From CDT staff reportsMay 10, 2013

State College police reported Friday that several people suffered minor injuries Thursday afternoon after a four-vehicle crash near the 1300 block of East College Avenue.

State College police Lt. Chris Fishel said an 87-year-old man was heading west on East College Avenue near Mount Nittany Expressway at about 1:25 p.m. when he rear-ended the vehicle in front of him, causing that vehicle to strike another.

The elderly driver then “hit the gas instead of the brake” and hit another vehicle, Fishel said.

Details of the injuries were unknown. Fishel said the full accident report would not be completed until Monday.
