Nearly $1,000 stolen from Philipsburg home

Police are investigating the burglary of a Philipsburg house.

The police report said that between late Thursday night and early Friday morning, an unknown person entered a Water Street home through a basement door and stole cash, credit cards, a checkbook and coins.

Trooper Terry Bush said the total loss is estimated at $950.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police at Philipsburg at 342-3370.
