2 vie for Miles Township supervisor spot

May 18, 2013

The only contested municipal race in Penns Valley is for a seat on the Miles Township Board of Supervisors.

Two candidates, Jason Bartlebaugh, of Madisonburg, and Ronald Hough, of Rebersburg, are seeking the Republican nomination for one seat on the board. There are no candidates seeking the Democrat nomination.

As a result, the winner in Tuesday’s election is essentially guaranteed the supervisor seat, unless someone wages a winning write-in campaign in November.

Neither candidate could be reached for comment.

Bartlebaugh and Hough are running for the seat occupied by Harold Rudy, who did not seek re-election.
