County League baseball: Clarence edges Milroy

From CDT staff reportsMay 24, 2013

CLARENCE — Clarence got plenty of help getting on base and didn’t waste their chances in an 8-5 Centre County League baseball win over the Milroy Coyotes on Thursday.

Milroy pitchers issued 13 walks and Clarence’s Derrick Jabco and Justin Taylor made them pay. Jabco blasted two doubles while Taylor added a two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning that was the deciding blow. Taylor pitched four innings for the win while Josh Wetzel pitched two relief innings for the save.

Kaelen Gearhart went 3-for-4 with two singles and a two-run homer in the top of the fifth to lead Milroy.
