Cooking With Kids | Three bean bake

May 26, 2013

With barbecues and summer picnics, the three bean bake may be the perfect dish. The leftover, cooked beans freeze well. Remember to wipe off the top of can lids before opening.

Cooking spray

1 (15 ounce) can Great Northern beans, drained

1 (15 ounce) can pork and beans

1 (15 ounce) can light or dark kidney beans, drained

½ cup ketchup

½ cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon minced onion

Remember to wash your hands before cooking and to clean your work surface.

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Spray a large baking dish with cooking spray.

3. Combine all ingredients in the baking dish.

4. Bake uncovered 30 to 40 minutes. Make sure to use hot pads when handling the hot dish.
