The teams met every season from 1944-90, but did not meet again until the 2008 contest in the Carrier Dome.
Penn State will be playing in MetLife Stadium for the first time and at the Meadowlands for the first time in 13 years, when it faced USC in the 2000 Kickoff Classic at Giants Stadium. The Nittany Lions and Orange met once at Giants Stadium, with the Penn State posting a 35-7 win on October 20, 1979. The Nittany Lions were 10-3 overall at Giants Stadium.
