Pedestrian struck and killed in Altoona car crash

— A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle that had collided with another car Wednesday evening, Altoona police said.

Ann Marie Crutcher, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred at 5:25 p.m. at the intersection of Union Avenue and 7th Avenue in the city.

Police said a 2009 Toyota Corolla traveling north on Union Avenue collided with a 2012 Honda CR-V that was headed west on 7th Avenue.

Crutcher was standing in the area, police said. She was struck by the Corolla.

The drivers were not identified by police.

An Altoona police department reconstructionist was assigned and is investigating.
