Letter to the editor | Almost worth missing church

June 28, 2013

I almost stayed home from church Sunday after reading Sgt. Adam Hartswick’s “Fight of his Life” feature by reporter Chris Rosenblum.

This was clearly and in-depth reporting of how the Military Advanced Training Center within the Walter Reed Medical Center is working side by side with Hartswick’s parents, Morgen Hummel and Sean Hartswick, to regain his life of 22 years before the blast in Afghanistan that claimed his legs.

Bethesda truly has been an outstanding facility for veterans and career military over the years, offering rehabilitation services and research to our armed forces to help them return to their lives before their time serving our country.

Thank you for publishing this heart-wrenching story.
