Letter to the editor | Who’s responsible?

July 2, 2013

After reading Thursday’s article about Graham Spanier, Tim Curley and Gary Schultz’s lawyers’ motion (“Curley, Schultz filing cites errors”), I find it disconcerting that they keep trying to have Cynthia Baldwin’s testimony to the grand jury disqualified.

It makes me think that she was the only one besides Joe Paterno who may have been telling the truth when they testified.

I thought maybe these gentlemen were of the age group that takes responsibility for their actions, but I must have been thinking wrong.

At least Paterno had the intestinal fortitude to say he wished he had done more. I have not heard that from any of the accused yet.

Apparently they don’t have the courage that Paterno had or have the ability to man up and take their share of the responsibility for what happened.

I think that the “cluster of errors” was their failure to take action. Also, I guess the “buck stops here” does not apply in the their minds.
